Gilgul
Winners of the Anděl Award for Jazz Album of the Year and one of the most distinctive new voices on the Czech and European world‑jazz scene present their acclaimed original approach to musical traditions across continents. The trio of guitarist David Dorůžka, flautist and vocalist Robert Fischmann, and drummer Martin Novák was formed at the end of 2020, and with their debut Gilgul (Animal Music, 2023) they attracted attention far beyond the Czech Republic: the album reached 7th place on the World Music Charts Europe, won Czech Radio’s Česká jazzová sklizeň critics' poll, and received a nomination for the Deutschen Schallplattenkritik award.

And that it gushes from the heart…”
