Annamária d’Almeida, a native of Prešov with a Benin-Slovak origin, studied classical singing at the International Conservatory in Prague. Since 1998 she has been part of the Slovak folklore ensemble Limbora. In 2012 she joined forces with the multi-genre group The Brownies. She has performed and recorded with the band Android Asteroid at Abbey Road studio in London and has also performed alongside them at : Rock for People, Colours of Ostrava and Metronome festival. In 2019, she won The Voice Czechoslovakia competition and is touring as a vocalist with Vojta Dyke and Ondrej Pivec’s D.Y.K. project. She is also proud of her association with Memory Records Prague, which resulted in two covers of songs by Grammy Award-winning American singer Gregory Porter.
