Dutch/French saxophonist/flutist Cyrille Oswald and multi-instrumentalist Jiri Slavik are both leaders of their own groups, but also play often in each others’ projects. Oswald just released a live album with Jiri Slavik’s trio the Survivors called “First Live Round” and Slavik’s new project Polkatime, a nine piece ensemble which will premier soon on Czech Television with a live recording, has Cyrille Oswald on wind instruments. But there are even newer things in the making: a new album by Cyrille Oswald, called “The gardener’s prophet”, and the Survivors Ska and Reggae concerts. During this concert, they will thus have plenty of songs to choose from, and it will be an adventure to play this music in duo. As a candle on the cake, it happens to be Cyrille Oswald’s birthday, and he’s happy to invite everyone to his party.
