ERICSSON QUARTET

The Ericsson Quartet consists of Mikael Ericsson, who is not only a winner of the prestigious international “Prague Spring” competition and a finalist of the world-famous P. I. Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, but also his three talented daughters—Maria, Magdalena, and Michaela. They started playing together more than 30 years ago, initially in a “mostly playful” manner, gradually evolving into a more technical and classical approach.

In this family, making music is not just an art—it is part of their DNA and a lifelong passion. Their unique family bond brings energy, joy, and deep musical harmony to their performances, making their quartet truly special.

The program will feature compositions and arrangements by the father of the quartet, Mikael Ericsson, presented in an innovative style with a touch of humor. Pieces like “Humor-eska,” “Hot Dog,” and “Tico-Tico” will make you smile and captivate you. You will also hear musical gems from the Czech Republic (M. Čakrt, A. Dvořák), timeless classics (W. A. Mozart), romantic melodies (A. P. Borodin), passionate Spanish rhythms, and even a touch of Swedish melancholy (again, by Ericsson).
