Access and Parking at Vyšehrad

Motor vehicle entry into the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument area, which is designated as a pedestrian zone, is generally prohibited. We therefore recommend using public transportation. The site is easily accessible, especially by metro (Line C – Vyšehrad station) and several tram lines from Rašínovo Embankment and Albertov.

If you still need to arrive by car as a visitor, please use one of the nearby mixed paid parking zones, where parking is available for a fee. These zones are located approximately 300 meters walking distance from the entrances to the area.

How to apply for a permit?

We issue two types of permits for entry and parking within the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument area:

  • Visitor Card – linked to a person or legal entity

Both types can be issued with annual or time-limited validity. Only property owners, tenants, or leaseholders of burial plots at Vyšehrad Cemetery are eligible to apply.

Applications must be submitted via an online form. A link to the form will be provided after contacting NKP Vyšehrad at:

Fee: 130 CZK per permit (including duplicates or license plate changes)

Please observe the maximum speed limit of 20 km/h within the area and pay extra attention to pedestrians, who may use the entire roadway. Parking is allowed only in designated and marked areas.
