practical information
The Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument complex is part of the Prague Heritage Reserve, which is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Visitors can visit it free of charge all year round. Vyšehrad is easily accessible by public transport, metro (Vyšehrad station) and several tram lines from Rašínovo nábřeží and Albertov.

Infocentre
Visit our information center at Leopold Gate, where you can purchase tickets for tours and souvenirs. Here you will also find an overview of everything Vyšehrad has to offer. Our experienced staff will be happy to provide you with information about group tours, rental options, and other services.

PUBLIC TOILETS
Public toilets are located next to the information center and in front of St. Peter and Paul Basilica.
- They are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Admission is CZK 20.
- The toilets are wheelchair accessible.
ACCESSIBILITY OF VYŠEHRAD

Barrier-free access
The Vyšehrad complex is barrier-free. However, due to its historical character, extra caution is required. Some buildings and tour routes are not barrier-free. We therefore recommend that you read the visitor information or contact us before purchasing a ticket.

Parking
The Vyšehrad area is a pedestrian zone. Entry to the inner part between Leopoldova and Cihelná gates is only possible for deliveries, taxis, liturgical ceremonies, and others with permission from NKP Vyšehrad. Public parking is available in the mixed-use paid parking zone in front of Táborská gate.

For families with children
Vyšehrad is an ideal place for families with children. Enjoy peaceful parks, a playground themed around old Czech legends, and other play features in the Na Hradbách area. We also offer Sunday fairy tales at the Purkrabství and experiential tours for the whole family. We also have a wide range of activities for school groups.
VISITOR RULES
Dear visitors, for your satisfaction and safety during your visit to the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument, we have established several rules that must be observed. Thank you in advance for your consideration towards others.
- Please exercise caution when walking on historic roads and stairways
- Do not climb onto the tops of the walls or slopes, and do not lean or sit on the walls.
- Keep the area tidy and clean; dispose of trash in the trash cans.
- Keep your dogs on a leash and do not let them run free.
The following is prohibited in the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument complex:
- Entering flower beds and shrubbery
- Damaging or stealing plants and disturbing animals
- Riding bicycles, scooters, or roller skates
- Skiing or sledding on the slopes and ramparts
- Littering the park, behaving noisily, camping, and spending the night
- Lighting and maintaining open fires and barbecues
If you notice any damage to monuments or greenery, please contact the Municipal Police immediately at 156.
