Tomáš Sýkora & Aid Kid

Pianist Tomáš Sýkora and producer Aid Kid meet in an open field of improvisation, where no boundaries or predefined сценар exist. Although their paths have long crossed — whether in jazz ensembles or through film music — their joint concerts for piano and live electronics are always a new, unexplored chapter.

The music emerges from immediate inspiration, shaped by a dialogue between the traditional piano and modern technologies. The result is a dynamic fusion of jazz and electronic music in a sonically compelling form, as adventurous for the audience as it is for the two artists on stage.

Tomáš Sýkora

Tomáš Sýkora (1979) is a composer, pianist, and arranger. He has released three albums under his own name (Songs and Old Forms, 2017; Songs for Orchestra, 2021; Alchemy, 2023) and has contributed to numerous other projects, including the Concept Art Orchestra and the composer collective Pražská šestka. He performs internationally, teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) and the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, and curates the New Horizons concert series for the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Aid Kid

Aid Kid (1993) is the pseudonym of musician, composer, and producer Ondřej Mikula. He gained attention with his self-titled debut album (2015), which received the Vinyla Award for Discovery of the Year, followed by Cinematographer’s Journal (2019) and Collection (2021). He is a member of the audiovisual collective Lunchmeat, works extensively in film and stage music, and won the Czech Lion Award for Best Music for the film Arvéd (with Pjoni). As a producer and performer, he collaborates across a wide range of contemporary music projects.
